In this exciting position, you will report directly to the Head of Sustainable Operations and Products accompanied by a team of best-in-class specialists, with whom you will develop and lead environmental sustainability strategy & programs to reduce our environmental impact in Operations across internal and external Manufacturing. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Acting as the main initiator of sustainability programs throughout Operations and leading cross-functional workstreams across all operation sites and partners
* Owning data collection of sustainability metrics and reporting as necessary to internal and external stakeholders including global counterparts, senior leadership and regulatory bodies
* Screening trends, regulations and technologies to anticipate deviations or required course corrections from the strategy
* Supporting the greenhouse strategy across the company to reduce emissions by improving efficiencies or implementing less impactful ways of operating
* Designing and leading strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiencies and enable circularity within our operations and external partners
* Acting as a subject matter expert for sustainable materials, certifications and waste-related regulations

We are looking for a unique talent, who brings along the following:
* Educational background in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering and/or Technical disciplines
* 5+ years of experience in sustainability-related roles ideally in a global organization
* Strong technical sustainability-related knowledge such as production optimization, Waste management, Certifications and Regulations, understanding of GHG reduction and accounting
* Ability to influence and motivate technically/operationally minded Manufacturing colleagues and partners for sustainability
* Can-do attitude, strong ownership and proactivity as well as resilience
* Strong project management skills and a pragmatic, structured way of working
* Lateral leadership skills
* Excellent command of English and German (additional languages is a plus)
