Experteer Overview
In this role you will help shape the architecture of Bitmovin’s cloud-based VOD encoding platform and drive high-performance, scalable solutions. You’ll partner with product and engineering teams to deliver industry-leading video streaming capabilities for global clients. You will influence technical direction, promote best practices, and mentor peers. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position at a leading video technology company.

Aufgaben
- Develop and optimize encoding workflows for performance and reliability
- Design and implement scalable C++ and Java solutions
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver streaming products
- Drive best practices in software development, testing, and DevOps
- Mentor team members and foster collaborative learning
- Enhance monitoring and alerting to improve service reliability
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Extensive C++ experience (C++11+)
- Solid understanding of video codecs and container formats
- Experience with MPEG-DASH and HLS
- Familiarity with OTT streaming workflows and video processing
- Experience with Java (service exposure)
- Experience with Google Test or similar frameworks
- Proficiency with Git or similar VCS
- Strong Agile experience and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the US
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure); Kotlin, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes a plus
