As Principal Software Engineer, you guide architecture and technical direction for the Licensing organization within Dynatrace, influencing multiple teams and stakeholders. You own complex, cloud-native, data-intensive solutions at scale and shape AI-enabled delivery across the lifecycle. You collaborate across engineering, product, and business, driving impact beyond a single team. Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead design and delivery of major technical initiatives across Licensing and beyond
Solve complex, ambiguous technical problems and align teams and stakeholders
Set technical direction and ensure cross-team alignment
Define AI usage across the delivery lifecycle and raise AI-native maturity
Build tooling and guardrails to empower engineers with agents and maintain quality
Evaluate new technologies and practices to improve systems and workflows
Improve cross-team productivity and embed engineering best practices
Coach senior engineers and partner with managers, architects, and product engineers
Drive down technical debt and raise engineering quality across the organization

Zentrale Anforderungen

Deep hands-on software engineering experience with large-scale cloud-native systems
Strong backend foundation, ideally Java, on data-intensive cloud workloads
Proven track record delivering complex software and driving topics across teams
Ability to design workflows around AI, manage agents, and review AI-generated code
Experience applying AI across the full delivery lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, review, operations)
Ability to align technical and business stakeholders and communicate decisions autonomously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with collaborative mindset
Excellent English communication skills
