As the OpEx fabrication Leader for Extrusion Europe, you will drive continuous improvement across multiple plants, leading cross-functional teams to deliver safety, quality, and efficiency gains. You will oversee the Fabrication OpEx network, align initiatives with regional business plans, and ensure adherence to Hydro’s Quality and HSE standards. This role offers scope to shape best practices, standardize processes, and accelerate operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment. You will collaborate with Plant Managers and senior leaders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead and develop the OpEx fabrication team, providing direction and growth opportunities
Organize resources for continuous improvement projects and monitor progress
Oversee HSE responsibilities within the area and ensure regulatory compliance
Develop and implement guidelines, procedures, and training to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and environmental impact
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Plant Managers, Department Leaders, OpEx Directors, and Commercial teams
Create and maintain training materials, process specifications, and equipment guidelines
Track operational KPIs and report to Extrusion Europe management
Lead strategic operational programs to align with business objectives
Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration across all Extrusion Europe plants
Ensure compliance with Hydro’s Quality System and standardized operating procedures
Support area-specific customer expectations and standards
Engage with experts from other Business Units for alignment

Zentrale Anforderungen

5+ years of leadership in manufacturing or industrial settings with international, cross-functional experience
5+ years in operational excellence, preferably in fabrication technologies or related production processes across geographies
Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies and project management
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Bachelor degree required; Master's or MBA is an asset
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Process optimization and KPI management skills
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
