Experteer Overview
In this role you bridge exploratory R&D and embedded systems to turn bold ideas into tangible trackers and pet-tech products. You will explore new sensing technologies, data processing methods, and connectivity to keep products innovative and reliable. Expect work on edge AI, low-power IoT, and advanced localization while delivering prototypes through to production-ready features. You’ll collaborate across firmware, backend, data science, and hardware teams to scale solutions and drive measurable customer value.
Aufgaben
- Serve as a bridge between R&D and embedded systems to translate concepts into implementable firmware
- Research and prototype sensing technologies, data processing methods, and connectivity solutions
- Develop embedded firmware prototypes in C/C++ for proofs-of-concept and mature demos
- Collaborate with Firmware, Backend, Data Science, and Hardware teams to move features to production
- Rapidly validate ideas via simulation, field tests, and data analysis
- Translate experimental concepts into robust, manufacturable features with customer value
- Present research and prototypes to production-ready teams
- Share insights and promote forward-thinking approaches to evolve technology and processes
- Contribute fresh ideas to improve the company and work culture
- Grow professionally and take ownership of areas with potential
- Work in Austria with a strong team
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3+ years of firmware development experience (C/C++)
- Firmware R&D background with features progressing from POC to production in IoT
- Hands-on embedded systems experience (MCUs, sensors, connectivity modules)
- Strong prototyping skills with evaluation boards and dev kits
- Comfort with data processing and analysis
- Python programming skills (e.g., pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy) are a plus
- Very good English skills
- Passion for sensor tech and meaningful feature creation
- Analytical, curious, and eager to learn
- Hands-on, autonomous, ownership-minded
- Enthusiasm for hardware and embedded tech
- Structured, organized, and good at prioritization
- Excited to work in Austria with an outstanding team
