Compensation Manager

The Compensation Manager is responsible for understanding the competitive landscape for technology companies, advising management on compensation packages, managing the compensation cycle, and actively contributing to the total rewards team. This role will be focused on the Americas region specifically. Candidates do not need to have prior experience of building compensation structures in the Americas, as long as they have relevant experience in another region.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the organization's global compensation programs across the Americas, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
* Plan, develop, and implement compensation programs that are internally equitable, externally competitive, and legally compliant.
* Make recommendations regarding salary grades and market rates for specific jobs or functional areas.
* Make recommendations regarding commission program structuring.
* Make compensation recommendations for new hires.
* Manage annual corporate incentive program.
* Manage the annual review process, including base pay and incentive plan review, merit budgets, etc.
* Manage annual compensation survey participation, benchmarking process, and data analysis.
* Conduct FLSA reviews
* Research best compensation practices in the market.
* Work with leaders across functional areas on shared initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in compensation; technology industry experience preferred
* Experience in sales compensation, base pay and incentive pay design and implementation preferred
* Experience with grading and job evaluation methodologies
* Outstanding customer service and team player - proven strong interpersonal skills and engagement with global stakeholders
* High proficiency in Excel; ability to work with large data sets; ability to conduct analysis and to solve problems creatively
* Preferred Proficiency with Workday
* Proven track record of success, low error rate, diligent and reliable
* Strong integrity: ability to work with sensitive and confidential data
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguity
* Self-starter who takes initiative and manages projects to completion
* Ability to perform well in a lean setting with limited resources and leverage assistance from colleagues through influence skills
* Bachelors in HR/Business/Fin/Acct/Engineering/Mathematics or other relevant disciplines.
